Ultra-light carbon for the Solar Challenge

Teijin Group companies Toho Tenax and GH Craft have supported Japan?s Kogakuin University in developing a car made with carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) for the 2013 World Solar Challenge, the world?s biggest solar car race which will take place in Australia from October 6 to 13.
Ultra-lightweight fabrics made from Tenax carbon fibre were used to design and fabricate the CFRP car body and GH Craft has been involved in its design from concept stage.
