CNT boost for composites
ZNT-boost manufactured by Zyvex Technologies in Columbus, Ohio, is  a new epoxy-composite toughening system based on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for carbon and glass fibre composites.
New capacity for Zoltek Mexico

Fraunhofer scientists and partners have developed a wood-polymer composite material for furniture that is resistant to humidity and also has low flammability.

Reducing weight for improved efficiency is now extending to the caravan industry and Lamilux, based in Rehau, Germany, has developed a new composite floor system for this market, to replace wood which is heavy, absorbs moisture and is susceptible to mould.
More fibres with new Acrodur
BASF’s new Acrodur Power 2750 X binder is designed for the production of natural fibre composites for automotive lightweight applications such as interior car door panels or shelves.
3D printed parts at Airbus
Airbus has now produced more than 1,000 flight parts on its Stratasys FDM 3D production systems for use in A350 XWB aircraft, first delivered in December 2014.
New LFT line for China
As the rapid growth of long fibre thermoplastic composites continues in China, Dieffenbacher, headquartered in Eppingen, Germany, has secured a deal to install a new plant in the country with the capacity to produce around a million components annually.
